1.Who We Are

Hire Ready ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at www.hire-ready.org. We provide an AI-powered profile chatbot service that lets professionals share their experience through a shareable chat link.

2.Data We Collect

Account data

Your email address via magic link authentication (Supabase Auth). We do not collect passwords.

Profile data

Information you provide: name, role, headline, location, skills, projects, achievements. You may also upload a CV (PDF), link LinkedIn/GitHub, and upload a profile photo.

Chat data

Messages and AI-generated responses from your public chatbot link, stored to maintain conversation history.

Payment data

Processed by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy ↗.

Usage data

Anonymous page view and performance data via Vercel Analytics — cookie-free, no cross-site tracking.

3.How We Use Your Data

Provide and maintain the Hire Ready service
Generate AI-powered answers based on your uploaded evidence
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing alerts)
Improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns

4.AI Processing

Your profile data and evidence are sent to OpenAI to generate chatbot answers. We do not use your data to train AI models. OpenAI processes data under their API data usage policy ↗, which states that API inputs and outputs are not used for model training.

5.Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

Supabase— Database & authentication

OpenAI— AI answer generation

Stripe— Payment processing

Vercel— Hosting & analytics

All processors are bound by data processing agreements.

6.Data Retention

Your account and profile data are retained as long as your account is active. Chat history is retained for the lifetime of the profile. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

7.Your Rights (GDPR / EEA)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Rectify inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in a portable format
Object to or restrict processing
Withdraw consent at any time

8.Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication session management (Supabase Auth). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free.

9.Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement Content Security Policy headers, input validation, rate limiting, and access controls.

10.Children

Hire Ready is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11.Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
